1. The world runs on Early Bird Standard Time

Everyone else is thriving at 7am.
I’m still negotiating consciousness.

2. Society thinks staying up late = lazy

Apparently productivity only counts if it happens before noon.

3. Morning appointments are a hate crime

Dentist at 8am? Jail.

4. Coffee becomes a personality trait

And in my case… decaf. A personal tragedy.

5. My body clock is a chaotic gremlin

2am is for intrusive thoughts, not sleep.

6. The guilt

I didn’t do anything wrong, but waking up at noon feels like a felony.

7. Nighttime peace vs. daytime responsibility

I peak when the world powers down. Fantastic timing.

8. Everyone assumes i can just “fix it”

“Go to bed earlier!”
Wow, thanks Mom, I’ve never considered that revolutionary strategy…
especially from the same woman who once tried everything short of bringing in the entire Iroquois Confederacy to “flip” my sleep schedule, and consulted a parade of baffled shrinks who basically shrugged and said, “Buh? She’s half-back-asswards.”

9. No one to talk to because they’re all asleep

I finally want human interaction, and the universe says:
“Too bad, sweetheart, the world clocked out.”
And the ones who didn’t?
They have better things to do than talk to a bored 55-year-old woman trying not to lose her mind at 1:47am.
Night owls respect each other’s silence like it’s an international peace treaty.

10. LinkedIn has apparently switched to India/Nigeria Standard Time

At 2am, my only notifications are recruiters from three continents away offering jobs that pay in “exposure” and maybe a sandwich.

11. My actual network? Dead to the world

I post at night → crickets.
I post during the day → judgmental crickets.
